Rosatom wins tender for modernization of Kozlodyu NPP

Rosatom won the tender for modernization of the 5th and the 6th unit of Kozlodyu nuclear power plant, the Russian state atomic energy corporation announced. According to the contract, Rosatom Service will modernize the neutron flux control equipment. This equipment plays an important security role and is connected with the system for management and water protection of the reactors. The chief designer of the reactors OKB Hydropress and the scientific leader- the Kurchatovsk Institute will take part in the modernization. The Russian company Systematom is manufacturer of the main equipment. It posesses all necessary recommendations and  experience to fulfill the project. Rosatom Service also extended the life span of the nuclear reactors in Kozlodyu NPP.
