An internal check has been assigned to the Bulgarian Border Police over passengers on a flight from from Paris who entered Bulgaria without the respective border control.

The plane of a Bulgarian airline landed at Sofia Airport in the afternoon of March 20th. Since there were no officers in border control booths, about 40 passengers from the plane entered the country without being checked.

Minister of Interior Valentin Radev has voiced serious concern over the case of failure to perform border control.

The connection between this outrageous fact and today’s terrorist attack in France which resulted in deaths and people taken hostage makes things even more worrying, the minister has said.
