Serbia registers increasing migration pressure from Bulgaria

The Commissariat for Refugees and Migration in Belgrade has announced that since May this year, there has been an increase in the number of migrants and refugees entering Serbia from Bulgaria.

For the past two months, the number of migrants crossing the Bulgarian-Serbian border has doubled, it was reported.

The most numerous are migrants coming from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran and Iraq. The number of people coming from Syria is just 1.8 per cent of the total number of refugees.
