Bulgarians want Brussels to strengthen control over EU Member States policies

62% of Bulgarians have positive attitude towards the EU and just 18% have a negative opinion. The biggest support for the EU comes from young people under age of 29 - 80%, while 31% of adults are skeptical, according to a Trend Agency poll. The main positive points for Bulgaria from EU Membership are said to be: free travel, EU funds, job opportunities and education, free market. As priorities for the new European Parliament, Bulgarians point out social policy - 47% and the migrant crisis - 10%. 42% of Bulgarians want Brussels to strengthen its control over Member States while 29% oppose such measures. Bulgarians want the money from EU funds to go for creating employment - 47% and for development of the regions - 38%.
