In 2018 Bulgaria expelled 15 terrorists

Referring to the SANS annual report for 2018, the BGNES Agency has reported that last year Bulgaria expelled 15 foreign citizens, for whom there was evidence of involvement in terrorism. The main threat to the country remains international terrorism. In 2018, the risk was linked mainly to the actions of the "Islamic State" and the persons associated with its ideology. The number of returning foreign fighters from conflict regions has been declining, but they remain a major factor when risk of terrorism in concerned, the report reads.
