Pamporovo mountain resort - preferred destination in winter

The Pamporovo resort in the Rhodope Mountains reports a 9% rise in the number of tourists compared to last year. Since the start of the ski season, about 100,000 tourists have passed through the resort. Bulgarian and Balkan tourists are the prevailing group. There is a noticeable increase in the number of Serbian, Romanian and North Macedonian tourists. The interest of British tourists remains stable and the number of Turkish tourists has been growing in comparison to the previous year. 

 Almost all ski runs in the area are open and skiing conditions are excellent, the resort officials report.
