Young Bulgarian pianist Nikolay Dimitrov has received an international composing award. The 18-year-old student at the Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen, the Netherlands, has taken part in the Artistes en Herbe International Competition in Luxembourg in the Young Composer category (16-19 years). He received the special Pianissimo Award, which is awarded by the ppIANISSIMO International Festival of Contemporary Clavier Music.
