A Bulgarian businessman has asked to donate over 110,000 euros to the Alexandrovska Hospital for the purchase of respiratory devices for patients in need. The condition of the businessman was employees of his company tobe treated with preference, if necessary. The hospital returned the donation and its head, Prof. Dr. Kostadin Angelov, stated that: "It is the duty of every doctor to treat patients according to their medical parameters - without thinking about gender or occupation, nor the company they are employed by."
Following the refusal of the state hospital, the businessman commented that there were already private hospitals that would accept the donation. His company will buy 20 respirators, five of which will be donatedunder the company’s condition.
