The singer, selected to represent Bulgaria at Eurovision 2020, canceled her European tour, which was scheduled for March and April. "At times like this we have to unite and protect human health and life, which are the most important,” Victoria Georgieva wrote in her Facebook profile.

Meanwhile, it became clear that the Eurovision Song Contest is being canceled and is likely to be held in 2021. Its organizers from the EBU have come out with an official position stating that the unpredictability of the situation caused by the spread of COVID -19 has led to a difficult decision.

“We are very proud that the Eurovision Song Contest has united audiences every year, without interruption, for the past 64 years and we, like the millions of you around the world, are extremely saddened that it can not take place in May," the statement read.
