As of today, the Sofia Opera and Ballet is launching outdoor performances on an open-air stage built especially for the purpose on Pancharevo Lake in the outskirts of Sofia.
The first show will be the musical Mamma Mia! at 8 PM tonight. Until 2 August audiences will be able to watch the opera Rhine Gold, and the ballets Carmina Burana, Swan Lake, Zorba the Greek. The event is part of the opera theatre’s latest initiative entitled “Muse on the water”.
