Bulgarian poetess Miryana Basheva passed away at the age of 73. She wrote the lyrics to some of the most beloved songs for generations of Bulgarians, to the rendition of famous pop bands such as Shturtsite (the Crickets). Some of her poetry was included in “Clay and Star- Contemporary Bulgarian Poets” anthology published in the USA in 1992, prepared for print by the celebrated Bulgarian poet and translator Georgi Belev.
