“Sofia is back in the red zone in the number of coronavirus infections. The situation is getting to be worrying and tense. The number of hospitalizations is gradually going up,” Dancho Penchev, Director of the Sofia Regional Health Inspectorate said in an interview for bTV.
“What is worrying is that the virus is “growing younger” and is affecting people from younger age groups. We are monitoring how the spread of the disease will develop and that will give us an indication what steps to take. Tightening the restrictive measures is entirely possible if the Covid-19 rate reaches around 600 per 100,000.
