Israel introduces mandatory quarantine for arrivals from Bulgaria

From August 11, all persons arriving from Bulgaria to Israel will be subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine, regardless of whether they have recovered rom Covid-19 or have been vaccinated. According to the Bulgarian embassy in Tel Aviv, the isolation period can be reduced to 7 days after a negative PCR test result.

The current measures for entry into Israel remain in force. Travellers to Israel should present a document for having recovered from a Covid-19 infection or for vaccination, as well as a negative PCR test performed no later than 72 hours before the trip. Upon arrival, they are subject to a second PCR test.

It is recalled that all foreign nationals travelling to Israel must obtain prior permission to enter the country.
