Solutions to the problem with gas shortages should be sought at the pan-European level, where Bulgaria can have a its voice heard, Vice President Iliana Iotova said, quoted by BNT. According to her, from now on this country should look for long-term contracts.

Regarding the possible renewal of talks with Gazprom, Iliana Iotova said: "Those who are currently insisting that these talks be resumed as soon as possible could have done so as early as March, when Deputy Prime Minister Assen Vassilev unilaterally terminated these talks and declared that we would never have contracts with Gazprom again.”

The Vice President criticized BSP leader Kornelia Ninova that as a former deputy prime minister she did not stop this but is now calling for renewing negotiations with "Gazprom".
