There are people who will not be able to survive this winter in Bulgaria, said interim government spokesman Anton Koutev, referring to energy prices.

"This winter will be about human lives - heating, fuel and prices of all other products are constantly rising. There will be real human tragedies," Koutev warned speaking on private tv channel bTV.

Asked what had been promised in the negotiations with Lukoil so that the interim government could announce a reduction in fuel prices, Koutev said that the presidential administration did not have the instruments to control prices and that the emphasis was rather on corporate responsibility to be assumed. Talks with 'Gazprom' are imminent," Koutev also added.
