Caretaker Premier Donev: No talks held with Gazprom at present

The caretaker cabinet is working confidently to take control of energy chaos, caretaker Premier Galab Donev said in an interview for Nova TV. 

"Next week the Bulgaria-Greece gas interconnector will be issued Act 15”, Premier Donev said. As a result, the price of natural gas will go down, Premier Donev further said.

Bulgaria is holding talks with Greece and Turkey to secure unloading slots at LNG terminals, Galab Donev explained.

In his words, Bulgaria has sent an inquiry to Gazprom regarding the restoration of gas supplies under the agreement with Gazprom Export, but no reply has been received yet.

In Premier Donev’s words, the winter will be difficult, but the caretaker cabinet shall endeavour to help citizens and businesses. Galab Donev did not agree with the cabinet spokesman Anton Kutev who said: "This winter will be about human lives - heating, fuel and prices of all other products are constantly rising. There will be real human tragedies.”
