Bulgarian-North Macedonian business forum will be held in early December in Skopje. In 2022, bilateral trade is expected to exceed 1 billion euros, compared to 747 million euros in 2021.

For the first 8 months of 2022, the turnover has already reached over 711 million euros. Bulgaria is the fifth largest trading partner of North Macedonia after Germany, Great Britain, Greece and Serbia. Bulgarian business has good positions in North Macedonia in the spheres of banking and insurance, in mining and processing industry, as well as in the IT sector.

Trade growth has been hampered for years by poor infrastructure connectivity between the two neighboring countries, businesses complain.
