Football stars will play a "Match of Hope" in Sofia

Charity soccer game "Match of Hope" will take place today, September 6, on Bulgaria's Unification Day, at 5 pm at the Vasil Levski National Stadium. It is organized by the foundation of Bulgarian footballer Stiliyan Petrov, who is former captain of the national team. The collected funds will be used for the treatment of cancer patients. Petrov himself suffered from leukemia years ago.

The match will feature stars of Bulgarian and world football over the past decades. The date was chosen especially to show that only united we can win the big battles in life, the organizers explain.

Alongside Petrov will be many stars such as Hristo Stoichkov, the twice triumphant with the title of England as a player of Manchester United Dimitar Berbatov, Krasimir Balakov, Roy Keane, Henrik Larsson, Nemanja Vidic, Luis Garcia and other favourites of millions of fans around the world.
