Nearly a year after the success of his previous single, Boris Iliev recorded "You are Sun, I'm the Moon" with music and lyrics by Vida Pironkova. The singer sought contact with her because he misses the music written by true composers. The author admits that the deep meaning of the words, interspersed with tender metaphors and lyrical symbols, is dedicated to her husband, but it is not by chance that she chose Boris Iliev to recreate the emotion vocally: "Boris is one of the most elegant artists on the music scene. I am impressed by his talent and natural charisma."

Boris Iliev told us how Vida Pironkova introduced him to the song:

"Maybe three years ago, she told me: 'I have a song for you that I think you'll like very much.' She knew from coming to my shows what kind of music I like - ballads. I went to her studio and she played it live on the piano for me and sang the lyrics. It really took my breath away when I heard it. Ivan Yordanov - Cherry and I went into the studio and that's how we got a very beautiful arrangement. Ivelin Atanasov played the piano, which was again Vida Pironkova’s idea."
