Epiphany water blessing of the army flags

An Epiphany water blessing ceremony of the battle flags, the standards and sacred flags of the Bulgarian army took place at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier in Sofia.

President Rumen Radev saluted the units of the Bulgarian army. The ceremony was attended also by Vice President Iliana Iotova, Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov, Sofia Mayor Vassil Terziev, the Vice President of the National Assembly Rositsa Lyubenova, Defence Minister Todor Tagarev, Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov and many members of the public.

The Epiphany water blessing ritual was conducted by Metropolitan Anthony of Western and Central Europe Anthony with priests of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.
