Bad weather for climbing mountain peaks: Mountain Rescue Service

Conditions for hiking are good only in the lower parts of the mountains, the Mountain Rescue Service announced. Conditions remain wintry at higher elevations and the weather is expected to worsen. There is fog, it is windy and temperatures range between - 4 and - 6 degrees C.

According to the forecast of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, it will be cloudy and rainy in the mountains and snow above 1,500 m.

The Mountain Rescue Service advises tourists to inform themselves about the weather forecast before undertaking hikes in the mountains and to go well equipped.
